Once configured, reports can be produced without manual intervention according to the schedule defined in <strong>Windows Task Scheduler, <\/strong>typically outside business hours, freeing up time for higher value-added tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f3f2ed\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Why Use Automated Reports?<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Margill Loan Manager allows you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Automatically generate reports, including <strong>Loan List reports<\/strong>, <strong>Transaction reports<\/strong>, and <strong>Document Merge <\/strong>(Invoices, Statements of Account, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce reports covering different periods and formats (Excel, CSV, text, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automate file saving, email delivery, or secure FTP uploads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run these processes on the schedule you define.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f3f2ed\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Step 1 \u2014 Access the Automated Reports Module<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the <strong>Main window<\/strong>, open <strong>Reports<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Automated Reports<\/strong> (under <strong>Personalized Reports<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will see the list of existing automated report configurations. If the report has not yet been created, first go to the <strong>Reports<\/strong> module to design your report template.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong><br>Enter a clear description to help identify the report in task activity logs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Report Period<\/strong><br>Choose the period that best fits your needs:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full period<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From Origination date to Current Date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Last X days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next X days, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous calendar month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Current Date Mode<\/strong> (Today or Yesterday) must be adjusted based on the scheduled execution time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Records to Include<\/strong><\/strong><br>Select either <strong>All Records<\/strong> or an <strong>Advanced Query<\/strong> to target a specific set of Records.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f3f2ed\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Step 3 \u2014 Select File Format, Destination, and Delivery Options<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>File Destination and Format<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Destination Folder<\/strong>. Select a location accessible to the machine executing the automated task.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> In our SaaS environment, this option is not available. The first recipient receives the main email; additional recipients are added as CC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Email Connection must be configured beforehand in <strong>Tools &gt; Settings &gt; Email Connection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Uploading a Copy to an FTP Server<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can automatically copy the report to an FTP or secure FTP server by enabling <strong>Move a copy to an FTP server<\/strong> and configuring the server details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the <strong>Test Connection<\/strong> button to validate the setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f3f2ed\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Step 5 \u2014 Test Before Automating<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Test<\/strong> button immediately generates the report using the same parameters as the scheduled task:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verify the format, content, date coverage, and Record selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm correct email delivery or file storage in the configured folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Always test your configurations before enabling automation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f3f2ed\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Step 6 \u2014 Schedule in Windows<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each automated report is assigned a <strong>unique identifier<\/strong> when created.
